@DecaturNature We are really to have you here! Keep in mind mastodon is still pretty new software relatively speaking. It will only get better. Give it some time. But its pretty good right now for being a year old.

@freemo @bnys The git discussion I posted included a lot of thoughtful comments. Clearly a lot of competent programmers are thinking of how to solve the issue. But until that issue is resolved (and maybe some others), I'll be thinking of this as a pilot test.

@DecaturNature everything at QOTO is last-mile designed by me. In other words. I took existing mature products and heavily modified the source code, html, and css to produce
