The sun sets over a couple of tall, thin spires of rock seen on the Hoodoo Trail (part of the Dinosaur Trail) in Drumheller Valley, Alberta.
When I went to visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology in Drumheller, I originally went just for the museum - I had no idea that there was landscape like this in the area. Badland canyons, old mines, a suspension bridge, a mini ferry, the hoodoos in this picture, and a ghost town with a functioning hotel and saloon.

Shiny, shimmery, shivering; the crystal salamander was small and distressed. There had been much warmth, moisture and volcanic mud, then a long bumpy night that smelled salty.
Then a strange motionless sky, large creatures looming. There was plentiful food, mud, moisture, and places to burrow. It had no concept of travel or biomes.
Nor was it aware of the Lady who noted the shivering and demanded the manor be warmed for her new exotic pet.
@AmericanFietser I haven’t heard of cleverhoods. Are they better than other rain gear?

@pj it might depend on the app. I use Toot!, but I swear I saw the option on other apps I tried before.
Anyway, it still sort of explains why some people’s replies don’t show up on the timelines as much, even if it’s not as helpful as I thought.
@pj it occurs to me it might just be an app option too. I just went looking for it in the browser and can’t find it. Lots to learn on here!
