IMO this is a bug, not a feature.

Yes, I know conservatives can struggle to be civil, so might be underrepresented, but this is a ridiculous situation for a supposedly functional social platform.

And I say this as a solid progressive.

Boosts would be nice.

Very good point. We would need a similar poll from an origin point with a conservative following as a contrasting example.

@EubieDrew I'm pretty sure this whole scale is irrelevant. It's a linear 2 dimensional scale to represent 2 social perspectives. Instead of people thinking multi-dimensionally, they're forcing their mindsets into 2 predetermined boxes of variant volume.

@EubieDrew upon clicking your hashtag, I found a site that plots your views. Nifty.

@EubieDrew I'm inclined to believe these results based on what I'm seeing on Mastodon today.

I agree this place would be better with more diverse views. It's a #bug.

IMHO a big reason for the skew is *why* a huge number of people migrated recently. They could see Twitter becoming more hate filled before their eyes. The people impacted by this, and their allies, wanted something better.

I think as M grows naturally we'll see more diverse views join.
