@futurebird
Socialism doesn't need government involvement at all.
Capitalism attempts to avoid those regulations under the idea that the free market will sort out the bad players.

Unions just give workers a more fair playing field than they would have without them
@futurebird
Socialism is when the collective (usually the state) regulates the means of production or supply of goods or services.
So, requiring doctors, pilots, lawyers, etc to be qualified is socialist. Same as requiring companies to not pollute the water you drink
@futurebird
No, that's not socialism... Not even close
Understanding how and where the SARS-COV-2 virus, the virus that causes covid-19, started is incredibly important in being better prepared for future epidemics and pandemics.
Investigation into the origin of the outback is ongoing and explores:
* Zoonotic spillover - when a virus enters the human population from exposure to animals.
* A breach (error) in biosafety or biosecurity in Labs working with similar viruses.
At the present time no firm conclusion has been reached.

@Hyolobrika@berserker.town @evan Gmail, Apple, and Microsoft
But take Gmail, Apple, and Microsoft and that's most of the market. Or with housing, there are 4 major players.
Both of those markets were once filled with many small and medium sized players.
Not saying the same will happen, I'm too new here to draw conclusions... But most markets that grow this way end up with 3-5 companies carving over 90% between them.
@jon
Does anyone really know it now? It's in such a rapid state of flux as OpenAI and Microsoft work to tweak out biases and potential dangers... Every week, there are changes in the way you can hack it to get better or different responses.

I honestly thought I'd just scrape by with a Pass. The company I did the literature review on told me I couldn't use their data only 5 days before it was due... So, a big u-turn and only 3 days to get the last parts in.
