@popehat @objectinspace Ken, glad you’re still here. Our family has had to deal with the after affects of mental illness, thanks for your help in making it less of a stigma.

#OpenCircuits just landed!
Very interesting read so far. I've got close to 40 years to catch up on electronics! Thank you @oskay for this book.

Obligatory pet content (because really, there are only a few reasons for the internet to exist and pet content is high on the list)

A couple of random notes from my work notebook (#2 is net/sysadmin/programmer specific):

1) The initial report is always wrong.

2) The problem might not be name resolution, but it's a good place to look first.

3) There's nothing more permanent that a "temporary" solution.

4) Grownups don't like surprises, even if it is their birthday. Don't
surprise your boss.

5) There's nothing like having a process, even if it's just so you know what you're deviating from.

I'm a single dad (widower) blessed with a lot of support. I'm a grizzled computer programmer (some days more grizzled than others). I'm a volunteer EMT and for me it's the greatest job I'll never get paid for. I'm a veteran and my thoughts about that are complicated. Temperamentally I consider myself to be an extroverted introvert.

I was trying to convince my daughter that I had invented invisibility paint, she saw right through me. (Dad humor at its finest)
