Kung Fu Hustle (China, 2004) today for a change of pace. I don’t have a lot of experience with martial arts movies, but something tells me this is not a typical martial arts movie.
Kept thinking “this is not my sense of humour” and then laughing out loud.
Thank you to @roberthurdman @mcsquank @petejohanson for recommending!
4 yrs on and still the single best explanation of how N95 masks filter viruses. If you really think masks don't work, watch this video and you will be cured for ever. Once you watch this you will know more than 92% of medical professionals in this country.

This is amazing, not only a lower cost CPC for measuring mask fit and ultrafine particles in a room, but also a new probe to measure fit of a respirator without destroying it, check out the video from @openaeros and @masknerd to see how it works ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_P0gM5Gudo ). 1/

Watching these experts restore a pair of extremely vintage Star Wars posters is both fascinating and relaxing. “It’s like the posters are having a spa day: bit of a soak, a gentle scrub, some light bodywork, and voila, you’re brand new.” https://kottke.org/24/12/restoring-vintage-star-wars-posters
I got an email from my rural ISP yesterday that they might cut our internet all day today (I guess it's nice to get a notice, usually they just do it with no warning). But I was planning to work from home, and all the roads around me are "travel not recommended" so the school bus was cancelled... perhaps today is going to end up being a baking-and-LOTR-DVD-with-my-kids day rather than a work day.
(Now seriously considering unplugging the router to make sure this happens...)
@courtcan You’re doing fine. This stuff is just hard. Hang in there!

“Remembering the lost 28 of the Daniel J Morrell, which broke up in a severe storm on Lake Huron in 1966. The lone survivor, Dennis Hale, survived over 40 hours on an open life raft. He miraculously survived while 3 other shipmates died on the raft. He spent years trying to forget the awful experience but found talking about it and doing presentations was very therapeutic.” - artist Tony Strublic.
