Titanic reboot but it's on the world's new largest cruise ship, and Jack never finds Rose again after meeting her because the stupid mega boat is simply far too big.

I didn’t even like the original Nazis, why would I like the reboot.

@lilithsaintcrow I died.

“Musk is just so brain-serratingly bad at running an actual business that isn’t two grifts and a government subsidy in a trenchcoat”

Switching parties while in office is a big FUCK YOU to everyone that voted for you. It's a very scummy move.

I was a child, I had childish things. But when I grew up, I was able to afford a lot more childish things. I have way more childish things. I cannot stress how much these rule.

Doug Ford has maintained that his wealthy well-connected developer-friends have only “coincidentally” benefiting from Conservative government decisions. If there’s “nothing to see here”, then why are they fighting so hard to hide it?

A number of journos have been pecking away at this deal for a while trying to uncover why Ford is beholden to this bidder. Who knows who?
There were at least 40 other bidders before Therme; Ford & MPP Surma waited & opened the vault for them - why? And he paved the way for Therme to occupy Toronto's waterfront for a nearly a century - impressive longevity - double that of the Science Centre he's going to demolish.

This is excellent news!

Talks to combine two of the biggest newspaper publishers in #Canada have fallen apart.

#Postmedia Network Canada Corp. and #NordstarCapital LP — the majority owner of the #TorontoStar and dozens of other smaller newspapers — announced last month that they had entered into non-binding discussions about possibly merging together.

Good Morning #Canada
The southernmost point of Canada may not be far enough to be a warm holiday spot in mid-February, but it's one of the most interesting parts of our country. Point Pelee was made a national park in 1918 at the urging of birdwatchers and hunters. It is our smallest national park and an important resting area for migratory birds. I'm adding it to my list of Canadian parks to visit.

The upward redistribution of wealth over the past 45 years has shifted $50 trillion from the bottom 90% to the top 1%. That’s $50 trillion that would have gone into the paychecks of working Americans.

The wealth doesn’t “trickle down.” It gushes up.

And, of course, the self-checkouts have allowed major retailers to escalate their profits by laying off workers and/or simply not hiring them. Job cuts, poverty, hunger...but sure, shoplifting food and necessities for basic survival is a major crime wave.

Someone gave us a towel with our cat's photo on it and now she sleeps exclusively on top of it like some sort of degenerate narcissist 1970s movie star.

Last summer when it got so hot in Missouri, one woman started freezing bowls of ice and putting them out for the squirrels in her yard. This little guy was so grateful, he fell asleep cooling off on top of one. ❤️
