Today 83,000 Texans lost power and prices surged by 400%

Greg Abbott had YEARS to fix this

Instead of fixing ERCOT and the shitty power grid, he spent all his time policing our vaginas

As a human rights lawyer who has done extensive immigration work, let me make something absolutely clear.

Asylum is legal immigration.
There's no "port of entry" requirement.
There's no "visa" requirement.
There's no "first country" requirement.
You enter the United States, and you apply for asylum.

Because asylum is legal immigration. Period.

Period.

To everyone working today or tomorrow in essential services - including gas, food/supplies retail, emergency services, medical, and ride hailing or delivery:

Thank you.

Our enemies have tried TWICE in recent decades to violate our Capitol. First: Flight 93 headed for the Capitol on 9/11, downed in Shanskville PA by patriots. Second: Jan 6, 2021 a violent insurrection to overturn an election- foiled by patriots.

Tonight, Putin's existential foe addressed both Houses of Congress from that Chamber.

😁

Actually, the tax returns of all Supreme Court justices should absolutely be made public. That should be a requirement to be one of the nine people with lifetime appointments who make final legal decisions for the rest of the country.

Oh, before I run off, let me make an observation. You know how we adults feel somewhat strange/guilty for being excited for things like new vacuum cleaners or toilets, or a mowed lawn? And we feel like we have lost our inner child?

Here’s your reminder that little you spent a lot of time playing House and Shopping and School. It’s ok. We just like human things. You aren’t letting child you down.

The stochastic nature of interconnection in contemporary 'globalised' 'culture' means there is no Good way to do things, only a commitment to continuous striving to do things less badly. As a starting point, rather than basing action on the assumption that you are correct, begin by assuming you are incorrect and reevaluate.

The first Gen Z Congress member was denied a D.C. apartment due to bad credit.

Freshman reps don’t get a paycheck until February even though they start working on January 3rd.

Congress is inaccessible to those who don't have wealth.

It’s designed to keep working people out.

One of the greatest "How it started/how it's going" examples, EVER.

Moments ago at a Congressional Gold Medal ceremony for Jan. 6 police, the reward recipients refused to shake hands with Republican leaders Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy.
I could watch this 1000 times on repeat!

Wild that a billionaire’s companies committed fraud for 15 years, found guilty on all counts, and they face a max fine of $1.61 million for their crimes. No jail time. Zero criminal charges. That’s not justice, that’s a payment processing fee. Cost of doing business in America.

WTF is wrong with people in Georgia? Why is the choice between a mushroom and a thoughtful, erudite senator close?

It’s the filibuster or paid sick leave for railway workers.
The filibuster or the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.
The filibuster or a federal living wage.
The filibuster or abortion rights.
The filibuster or democracy.

This should not be a hard choice.
