I would like to propose a law that requires registration for organ donations, and if paid for by a recipient, duplicate organs like kidneys and lungs can be seized via eminent domain. At the end of life, all your organs can be harvested, and be distributed to the highest bidder.

Alternatively, we can pass a law that says no one has dominion over your body but you, and may not use any part of your body without your absolute consent.

3rd major storm of the year about to hit. the first one ripped the gates off my fence, the second took down a tree, and this one has every tornado warning sounding off at full volume, warnings to my phone, etc. If I go quiet in 20 mins...

@Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social I would say our current prison industrial complex is the worst case of this in modern America, and should be solved with a change in our constitution, eliminating the phrase "except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted" from the 13th amendment.

@Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social There are several issues with public services, profit being probably the major one. Ties to corporate profits are probably more insidious. Often, the best course is to keep public services to a minimum, to limit graft.

@Pat , not a setup for a joke, legitimate question. You say insults are nouns... I am resistant to that because they can't be touched... which is how I learned what a noun was back when Eisenhower was just a butter bar. You can touch a buffoon, for example.

But, I'm a math guy, not English. And I know it.

I'm curious, what part of speech are insults? When you say "that guy Steve is such a dick." What is "dick"?

@Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social the exact same thing happened to my uncle, with his scooter. He had a Vespa. I had a buddy that had his motorcycle stolen, and the cops entered the wrong Vin number after recovery, and then sold it at auction.

Policing should never have a profit motive.
