@AlliFlowers , I am at a loss on this. What can an individual do? My state is currently fairly safe for trans folks, Kentucky. But we may slip into darkness here too. So offering shelter to people from other states may not work. But I strongly advise people to flee those states that are falling, now. It's 1930s Germany in Florida and Texas right now. Just being noisy isn't enough, I don't think.

@yurnidiot , I honestly wonder how long it will be before AI can be loaded on a robot with basic joints and muscles modeled after human limbs and joints, and teaches itself to do things like this. Imagine a revolution in artificial legs and wheelchairs.

@seanfitz @ReticentTurnip@universeodon.com Bonnie Raitt was the lead singer of Areosmith??

@ReticentTurnip@universeodon.com , have you ever seen them in the same room at the same time? No?

@JosephMenn , seriously though, that guy was an idiot. He used his home computer and didn't know how to wipe his drive??

@w7voa , now if only that policy had teeth, and LEOs could be defunded if they fail to follow those policies.

@Pat , I have two theories. One regarding why the worst school killing in American history is effectively ignored by the media, and the public in general, and another regarding how the narrative has to change, and how to change it. My 2nd theory is that without people independently observing my 1st, they will unintentionally refuse to accept my 1st. That the act of pointing out the obvious undermines the ability to understand. It's something about how our brains are hardwired. My attempt has to be limited to pointing out the existence of the event, and asking why this is not a well known event considering how much worse it is than any other similar event in America.

@Pat , I don't celebrate it either. I fear repeats. And I feel that the reason no one has told them about the event isn't because it was from before they were born. Midway was before I was born. Jack the Ripper was before I was born. Krakatoa was before I was born. We learn about those things. We talk endlessly about school killings, but no one seems to know about the worst one in American history? There is intent in that omission.

@lowqualityfacts If it helps, I have no issues with you being a 26 year old 5'10" supermodel with a trust fund, and a liquor store.

@bhawthorne @kimtopher22 , So funny, I took that picture about 3 years ago, and you are only the 2nd person who noticed the bottle, which I intentionally placed in the photo.

Side note, I am not really capable of introspection, but the lemon pie of oblivion... ya, that's me.

Last week (thursday) was the anniversary of the worst school killing in American history.

Why don't you know of this killing, and what happened?

@Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social why would anyone who doesn't have a trust fund think they deserve an internship? Don't they understand the caste system? So uppity...

@amrowsell , yes, but the machine I had (and still might in storage) was 68030. The later ones got really impressive. That chip was used to sell the Atlanta Olympic games, with a 3D model of what the Olympic village would look like. I will never forget my 1st look at one of them, a rollercoaster driving game that was just incredible.

@sltrib , the minimum wage will rise if there is a credible threat of unionization. Nothing else will get the minimum wage up.
