"When will Medicare start negotiating drug prices?
President Joe Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law in August 2022. That act gives Medicare the power to negotiate certain prescription drug prices for the first time Medicare will negotiate prices for a limited number of drugs each year starting in 2026: 10 drugs in 2026, 15 total in 2027, 15 total in 2028 and 20 total each year from 2029 on."

There are THOUSANDS of prescription drugs.

"There are more than 20,000 prescription drugs that are approved for marketing (FDA, 2020). About 66% of U.S. adults take prescription drugs (Health Policy Institute, 2021)." (google search for "number of prescription drugs on the market")

So maybe, if we stop developing new drugs, in 1000 years this law will cover all drugs.

This isn't acceptable. Not even a little bit.

I'm a geologist and this isn't cute or funny. Rocks only climb trees like this when they're very stressed.

I'm gonna need me a piece of that #WokeOak tree that fell on the FL governor's mansion.

Seriously. I want to turn bowls out of it. Someone please.

You're just about to call it a day and go to bed and then someone shares another post..

I'm curious, if you are American, what did you learn about the Texas revolution against Mexico? I am wondering what the cause you were taught was, and where you were when you learned it. What type of school in what city/state.

Someone posted about mastodon and small businesses that suffered greatly from "twitter going tits up". I can't find the post, but it immediately reminded me of @StLynnMick , who was one of those small businesses. You can also find her on youtube:

After decades of fighting for our right to love and live freely, the LGBTQ+ community should be long past discrimination. And yet, the scapegoating of our community continues. As a Japanese American who experienced forced relocation and internment as a child, this déjà vu is both alarming and heartbreaking. We must remember the past, demand change, and act to safeguard our future. thinkbigpicture.substack.com/p

I think the guy (gal?) was anti union. Best guess. Second guess he worked for Blizzard and was part of the Cosby rape room scandal.
