@thedarky @_lunawinters And that's the wayyyyyy the news goes!
@ak Me in general
@JunedShelatSays @imAbdul
Fortunately there is even a number !
If larger country oppresses a smaller country,I’ll stand with smaller country
If smaller country has Majoritarian Religion which oppresses minority religions,I’ll stand with Minority religion
If minority religion has caste & one caste oppresses another caste,I’ll stand with caste being oppressed
In oppressed caste if an employer oppresses his employee,I’ll stand with employee
If employee goes Home & oppresses his wife,I’ll stand with that woman
Overall oppression is my enemy
Interesting fact of the day: despite the moon only being 1/4th the diameter of the earth it is a whole 1/80th the mass! But in terms of volume it is 1/50th the volume.
People don't realize how the relationship between diameter and volume is non linear. So it creates these very unexpected differences, especially at large scales.
@freemo Quite surprising right? Eyes can lie. Moon's crust is predominantly pumice, which could explain its lower density (when compared to the variable topography of Earth)
@Simplyswapy Have to read the book soon.
My internal voice is of Rami Malek's from #MrRobot while reading this post. Great show :)
@habiavoor vanakkam
@freemo That's assuring :)
But,
'Right' thing/ Just thing to do and Public opinion may not be the same every time . If only we can co-exist and work out our differences.
@Karthikdeva I always say that int eh Fediverse when you pick a server the main thing you are deciding on is if you trust the way in which the moderators will carry out their duties. That, hopefully, means there is a balance between acting and not acting that you are ok with.
At QOTO thats why we make our moderation decisions public and we welcome anyone to comment on it before we decide.
@freemo I just read about him.
If Wil Wheaton is saying the truth i.e. he was forced to leave the platform because multiple users reported him (for apparently no valid reason) then it begs for many questions.
Since moderators are the ones who control the instances they need to follow the same rules they set themselves & not fall for mobs/ trolls/ mass reporting.
As much I have differences in opinion with various users, I'd still love to converse in a decent way. I wouldn't support reporting, Unless of course if we cross the threshold limit.
(Based on what I understood from the blog post of Wil Wheaton & The Verge article)
@Karthikdeva For me I Mobility solutions and servers(Mainframes) make me curious. I love to read about technology and people running popular sites/apps and how they do it.
#NoCelebrityCulture is a dream scenario and it's good to see so many of the #Mastdoon users support that.
Almost all the topics that are debated or discussed in India revolves around some celebrity/politicians.
They never represent / care about what a commoner has to say.
For e.g.
During De-monetization almost all the celebs tweeted/posted videos praising our PM, some went further to order us that it's 'ok' to suffer for the sake of our nation. But I remember myself and so many common citizen struggling. Things spiraled out of control. But not for the so- called celebs.
Folks who came in for blue ticks in mstdn server here are the details to donate, can each one pay minimum 100 and maximum up to you can afford? Let’s be kind to folks who helps us, now am asking for boosts from all of you and 100 ₹

I don't think there is a 'celebrity' culture on mastodon.
It's just 2.2 million regular people.
I remember a couple of famous usa actors logged in a year or so ago. I guess they didn't get enough fawning attention, so they left ;-)
@Full_marx @musafir
' Indian are silly because they create girls account and make accounts to endorse each other ' sounds like stereotyping. India's population is approximately four times that of United States population. So 1.3 billion 'Indians' create fake ID and endorse each other, etc?
I'm neither denying those charges nor claiming that Indians are the best.
It's like commenting that Asians are smart at Math, but not all Asians are.
There are many complicated communities with millions of humans living outside developed nations, we all have our own voices. Don't reduce it by stereotyping, please.
@_lunawinters its not included yet i guess.
by order of the peaky fookin blinders, im an earthling trying to science my way out of misery :)
