The second shipment of 42,426.6 Kgs of medical countermeasures donated by the Government of India has arrived through Africa CDC’s continental logistics mechanism via the regional logistics hub in #Entebbe, Uganda.

This operation demonstrates the power of African-led coordination, regional solidarity, and strategic partnerships in rapidly delivering life-saving supplies where they are needed most.

With support from UNHAS/EUHAF, Uganda National Medical Stores, and the Ministry of Health of the DRC, critical medical countermeasures are being transported to support the ongoing Ebola Virus Disease (#Bundibugyo strain) response in #Ituri Province, the DRC. #HealthSecurity #AfricaResponds #EbolaResponse

Experts from Africa CDC are working alongside community health workers in #Ituri to strengthen the Ebola response in the Bunia, Rwampara, and Nyakunde health zones.

Through training and community engagement, teams are reinforcing early case detection, clinical management, and community surveillance, which is helping communities recognize symptoms early, seek care promptly, and reduce transmission.
