Back when I was a young man, on my first submarine, I learned that I needed to maintain two additional files; purchase orders that were prepared for the end of the fiscal year, and "To thine own ass be true""...copies of emails or other documents that would be potentially important...You can bet every order under the current regime would be in that file regardless of what I was told.
