I tried going into profile settings via web on my phone, it shows me a whole new set of options. I have a few questions wrt options and usage.

1. What is profile metadata supposed to be? It says Label and Content, where does this show up?

2. List account on directory (that I checked on recommendation) - where can this be seen? How do I access said directory if I'm looking for interesting accounts to follow?

3. I read somewhere that specific hashtags can be followed by clicking on the follow button that appears next to the hashtag upon searching. I tried this on both web and Android app and somehow cannot see any option to follow a hashtag (eg ), is there something I'm missing here?

1. The meta data shows up in the profile page. In my profile I've chosen to display my location, languages, views and interests. You can choose to show your custom meta data.
2. Pass
3. See the attached screenshot where the #MastIndia tag is being viewed. Next to the Back link you see an icon (that looks like a person). That's the follow/unfollow button to follow this hashtag. Posts from followed hashtags will appear in your home TL.

1. That's interesting, I'll look into updating mine.

3. From what I have read on other comments, it depends on whether your instance has said feature. Mine doesn't.

@NehaKhazanchi @ravisambamurthy Exactly its actually a new feature introduced in Mastodon. Your instance needs to upgrade soon. You will see quite a lot of features were added after the recent birdsite exodus.

@NehaKhazanchi your instance does have some customizations, ask your instance admin for clarity. You will know their handle in your server's about page. Although i personally I feel it easier to catch up with hashtag(s) in their own column(s). hashtag columns allow multiple hashtags so you can refine.
