Like, clearly that’s a dumb move, is the meaning.

Yet here the principals charged with ensuring the safety of people in their school can’t even offer knives so it’s bringing mini baseball bats and river rocks to a gun fight instead.

The whole situation, as every country outside the U.S. knows, is literal insanity.
