I filled in the feedback form. I suggested that they employ a civil servant to be given a rolled-up newspaper and tasked with hitting any MP who says ‘AI’ on the nose and shouting ‘NO!’ at them.

It seemed much more sensible an idea than anything that they were proposing.

My policy for close to two years now has been that when I see someone post that they are looking for work, I boost the post.

I don’t check their creds. I don’t even really read the post that closely. I certainly don’t consider whether I like the poster or not. I just boost.

Being out of work when you can’t afford to be sucks. Looking for work sucks. I don’t know how much of a difference it makes, but if someone is looking, I lend my voice and whatever reach I have to help.

MBAs love disintermediation, because it's often the key to making a value chain more efficient for everyone except the intermediaries.

Writers, I beg of you. Disintermediate your value chain: Publish on platforms that don't try to harvest your readers.
