"Test Optional" is destroying all utility of the ACT and SAT.

Why do I think that? My child is going through the college application process this winter and I've noticed that a lot of select colleges aren't admitting students with less than a 35 ACT/ ~1540 SAT. That's the 99th percentile, meaning that they're only accepting 1% of students who report their test scores.

As a result, fewer students who score less than perfect will report their scores, further inflating the school's average score.
