Political news was what got me started on Twitter in 2016, but since Trump lost in 2020 I spent more time talking to people with other interests. Those are the people I wasn't seeing and the ones I miss. Mastodon is actually a much better fit for me. I have far fewer followers, but I get a lot more responses, maybe due to a smaller universe of people, but I like being heard in a way I wasn't before (and not being mad or anxious all the time)

Kudos to everyone posting about John Mastodon today - top shelf material. Twitter is going to cry itself to sleep on it’s myPillow because the cool kids are all here.
