Some of you who follow me on Twitter may have noticed that I post images of Jizo. Jizo Bosatsu is the kind and patient guardian deity of children and travellers.

Jizo is also a Buddha that has reached enlightenment but doesn’t go to Nirvana, choosing to stay on earth to help the suffering. In the colder months local people will take care of  by dressing them with red bibs and hats, as helping a Buddhist monk is a virtuous gesture and, again, earns more of that credit for getting into the

I was waiting to shoot the rise of a supermoon when the clouds rolled in a ruined the spectacle. Instead of the moon crowning the tip of the Bay Bridge, a flock of pelicans passed over it, in perfect formation mimicking the shape of the bridge.

💥​As of today, December 12, there will be a dedicated Flu, COVID and Cold Clinic located at MacMaster Children's Hospital to help ease the congestion in the MCH emergency department.

The clinic will be open to patients (17 and younger) on a walk-in basis on evenings and weekends.
Hours of operation – Monday to Friday from 4:30 to 8:30 pm and weekends from 10 am to 4 pm.
