I am a Scottish mature student in biomedical engineering. I enjoy theoretical physics, especially anything to do with waves and electromagnetism. Getting into fluid dynamics at the moment. My favourite authors are Iain Banks and early Terry Pratchett. My music changes according to my mood. I'm not very good with people, so if I mess up, please excuse me. I should probably come with a health warning when it comes to unintentional upsetting remarks. I also get distracted by shiny things really easily. And rocks. I like rocks a lot.

Welcome!

Great to have you <3

@Nyoei Wonderful to have you here. I love your taste in literature :) Looking forward to seeing your contributions here at QOTO

@freemo @Nyoei Banks and Pratchett were not national but human treasures.

@commandelicious @freemo Oh I agree. The worlds they created opened up so much for me. Banks continues to inspire me every time I re read his work. He has definitely sublimed, his words will never die:)

@Nyoei @freemo
He was at least 20 years ahead of his time.
And both did word magick.

@commandelicious Holy crap you just spelled magick with a k... ::stares you down for a good minute:: does that mean what I think it means ::half smile:: @Nyoei

@freemo Thank you very much for your warm welcome. I hope my contributions are worthwhile ones 😅

@Nyoei A very warm welcome.

I like rocks and Pratchett too, actually I was thinking if we should add a GNU Terry Pratchett to QOTO ( gnuterrypratchett.com/), if also @freemo is a fan!

@arteteco @freemo Thank you very much for the welcome! I started reading Terry Pratchett when I was quite young and it's amazing how many layers there are to his work as you get older and reread it. I love the humour in his work. Always been a big fan of Samuel Vimes and I have a big soft spot for Death of Rats too ❤️

@Nyoei
Sam Vimes has always been my inspirational character for how to play Legal Good in RPGs. Great man.

@freemo

@arteteco @freemo Him and Granny Weatherwax both. They are good not because they themselves are good, but because they guard against their own evil. They are so strong it is awe inspiring.
