VOTING & POLLS - Option SHOWING who voted?...

THIS IS ABOUT VOTING & POLLS

Would you appreciate the VOTING in Mastodon to *also* include option **SHOWING** who voted in RESULTS (after to those that voted showing total voted etc AND USERNAME?)...

This idea is for optional group-only or public survey so it could be shown only to those that voted also or perhaps everyone (this would be flexible and up to poll makers).

If you have +'s / -'s / ~'s just reply to this or private DM please.

The idea behind this is about pooling people together - so those with similar tastes / work / mood for doing stuff can see each other and do it (right now or later talk slowly etc and to link across fedi's).

If you can see mutuality and interest from others and actually get stuff done (communication obviously first) then rather than messaging, email copies, hunting each other etc... a more willing show of hands... something a bit safer and knowing what might be more possible by voting / seeing what kind of poll it is / seeing others interested or already doing similar things to them / helping etc.

Please comment / DM anytime... Thank you.

VOTING & POLLS - Option SHOWING who voted?...

@freeschool

I voted no. Maybe there's some other way that voters can volutarilly disclose how they voted. But I'm not sure how they could.

VOTING & POLLS - Option SHOWING who voted?...

@Pat Ok thanks... good to hear, What do you think about the why not part (at least in theory or reality) just to understand it ( you can DM me also if you like btw...) what kind of reasons o ntht side...

it's important to me and others I suppose to make more togetherness (or strive for it) while not making something else worse or too much in danger...

basically so everyone is happy or can see how it more than doesn't work :)

@freeschool

It was a joke. I disclosed how I voted in the toot, and then said I didn't know how people could disclose their votes.

I'm sorry, but I'm a bit of pranster. All in fun, though. :blobsmilehappy:

@Pat Well that is genius sir ... !

Just to clarify also what it is and isn't + some examples:

The idea is not to manually type in reasons and comments why this or that - much more to see WHO is interested and usernames and then to easily mention them one DM / send those users updates... so then it's not so public or encouraging too much from others to continue with the existing people or those that ask after...

Other examples:

example 1: can you come my party this Sat?', then people can see who wants...

example 2: who is interested in this project ?

example 3 do you prefer wed or thurs?

and voters for projects would also be able to contact each other after ONCE THEY SEE WHO WAS INTERESTED...

polls could even be perishable or 'decompose' (after like 1 week)

Call it engagement but contact through mutuality I would say describes it better and culturing to breed if we want to get this world get back on it's feet
and off it's knees!...
more affinity in contact!

Rather than just dead poll (which is ok for that) getting people is the potential.

Kinda the why / what we're here for...
