When I was a kid, there was a mythical book shared only in the darkest corners of the internet called "The Anarchist's Cookbook" that described how to make explosive compounds and chemical weapons.
Today, that information is freely available on Wikipedia if you know the correct scientific search terms.

That book predates the internet as we know it by decades. It was available in underground bookstores as early as the 1960s, I think. Maybe earlier.
I've never read it.
