艾瑋昂強調：「如果國際社會不以最堅定的決心回應，就是在告訴習近平主席，他可以像在中國其他地區那樣徹底抹煞香港的新聞自由，也不會受到任何懲罰。」"
香港蘋果日報用了25年時間向世界證明：中國共產黨不可信。
"《蘋果日報》在1995年的創刊社論〈我們屬於香港〉中，有幾段是這麼寫的：
「我們要辦的是一份香港人的報紙。
尚有兩年香港的政權便要移交了，在這個時候辦報，不怕九七後情況有變嗎？我們怕。但我們不願意被恐懼所威嚇。我們更不願意被悲觀所蒙蔽。我們要積極樂觀地面對未來，因為我們是香港人！
在世界的資訊走廊上，香港雖然只是斗室一個，但我們清明通透，時刻與整個世界資訊交流：每一分、每一秒都受到世界傳媒注視、受世界輿論監察。在舉世眾目睽睽之下，誰敢貿然對香港胡作非為？

WSJ分析指出此舉象徵意義居多,文裡沒講的是自然是中國擅長的文件改頭換面那套作假竄改伎倆:
"Under the plan, to be announced Thursday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection would bar imports of metallurgical-grade silicon mined by Hoshine Silicon Industry (Shanshan) Co. unless the company can prove the material isn’t made with forced labor, these people said.
The Commerce Department would add Hoshine and four other Chinese companies and entities involved in silicon production to its entity list, which requires U.S. companies to get a license to sell them products or technology; such licenses are rarely granted. The Labor Department would also add polysilicon made in China to its list of products made by forced labor."
WSJ對港府以國安法打壓香港蘋果至關閉的報導:
At the end of a weekly press conference on Tuesday held by Hong Kong’s top local official, Carrie Lam, one Apple Daily reporter asked her: “You said the national-security law will only affect a small number of people, but more than 800 people in my company will be forced to lose their jobs. Can you respond, Mrs. Lam?”
She walked away without answering.

WSJ對香港蘋果日報迫於國安法收攤的評論:
"This story of what happened to Apple Daily is only partly about undermining the free press. It’s more broadly a warning of what can happen to any company operating in Hong Kong that the authorities claim committed some offense under the vague terms of the National Security Law."
"The free flow of information enabled prosperity and broad freedom. Now, Hong Kong shares and bank accounts can be frozen on the order of a single official, destroying private enterprise as well as freedom."
"Chinese researchers initially submitted the sequences to the NIH database in March 2020 and published information about them in a paper on a preprint server, according to the NIH. The paper described the use of an advanced sequencing technology to detect SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19. The researchers didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment."

美國國衛院的新發展：
「根據美國國家衛生研究院聲明，提交基因定序資料的中國研究人員2020年6月要求刪除，理由是相關資料已更新，將公布在另一不知名的資料庫，研究人員希望刪除舊版資料以免造成混淆。
中國研究人員2020年3月將這些資料提交給美國國家衛生研究院資料庫，並在一份預印本伺服器上的論文中發表定序資料相關訊息。」
不只彭博，路透社的分析也不看好：
「中國一直希望在全球鐵礦砂市場取得定價權，但這恐怕很難，主要因中國無法控制的因素太多。首先是上述的結構因素，無論長約還是指數定價，兩種方式都很容易被國際資本操作，而且也都必須使用美元作為計價和結算的貨幣。
其次，在供需層面，其他國家的鐵礦砂需求也在增加，供應端仍不斷出問題。」
美國商務部對檢討報告的回應：
「美國商務部在出口管制實體清單（Entity List）新增的5家中企包括；合盛硅業股份有限公司、新疆大全新能源有限公司、新疆東方希望有色金屬有限公司、新疆協鑫新能源材料科技有限公司、及新疆生產建設兵團。」

美中新任吵架代表~

"LinkedIn received 42 requests from Chinese authorities last year to take down content, the most the company received from any country, according to its semiannual transparency reports. It took down 38. It hasn’t released more recent numbers."
