美國那邊的新發展：
“美國衛生部督察長辦公室聯絡主任威廉斯（Tesia Williams）告訴有線電視新聞網（ＣＮＮ），該辦公室關切國衛院發放資金是否合法與有無疏失，並已就此監控一段時間。一名不具名的國衛院官員稱此稽查的本質在於搞政治，但也認為有助澄清國衛院是否犯錯。
佛奇今年稍早曾向國會議員證實，國衛院提供給「生態健康聯盟」的數十萬美元，已被轉給武漢病毒研究所來研究蝙蝠身上的冠狀病毒，五年來大約花了六十萬美元，導致外界對國衛院與「生態健康聯盟」關係的質疑就此與日俱增。
美國保守派之所以加劇對佛奇攻擊，還與「生態健康聯盟」一名執行長去年四月發給佛奇的電郵遭媒體曝光有關。這封電郵感謝佛奇公開陳述有科學證據支持新冠病毒起源於自然界，而非外洩自實驗室。”
“「天空新聞」（Sky News）今天播出莫里森（Scott Morrison）專訪，其中提到中國日益強勢介入印太地區，可能會導致新冷戰的出現；莫里森表示，澳洲正盡力地透過與歐美及印太地區多個國家「交往」（engagement），以避免與中國陷入新冷戰。
莫里森解釋，與印太地區各國領導人「交往」，是避免與中國衝突的「一個步驟」。

“日本時事通信社報導，岸信夫今天以視訊方式向歐洲聯盟歐洲議會安全保障及防衛小組委員會（Subcommittee on Security and Defence: SEDE）發表演說時說，「有關台灣情勢的穩定，對國際社會來說也很重要」。”
“這是日本防衛大臣首度在歐洲議會發表演說，主要是因為歐盟預計在9月制訂印度太平洋戰略，因此邀請岸信夫發表演說，作為制訂戰略時的參考。”

“美國《福斯新聞》當家主播卡爾森（Tucker Carlson）5日指出，美國情報界人士透露，史上「最高級別中國叛逃者」已與國防情報局 （DIA） 合作3個月，向美方透露關於中國「生物武器計劃」等消息。海外華人圈盛傳，「最高級別中國叛逃者」疑是掌握中國病毒生物戰機密的現任國安部副部長董經緯，目前中國百度上有關董經緯的資料疑已被刪除。”

QUAD的孟加拉案外案：
