Tell your story (your life experience. Not just the negatives.)

e.g. How did you arrive in that position? (etc...)
That is most interesting I think...

NON-TL;DR READ ON...

Not just telling people what to do (although for me and some others it works 100% when pre-existing or new logic is already there or can be seen.)

But for other people it's different.
I *think* maybe other people need to see and make friends with others first and not to feel pushed.
Others might have a plug-in and play / replace way or anything-good structure in the mind for best attitudes, alignment, etc but not everyone is thinking like that about what keeps people and interactivity for the long term... (or indeed the friendliness and replacements as a solution for life itself!)

Films can be easier to watch and learn because of this probably.

Though having more-real people tell it I think is the way to go as something imperfect but more human than a film... like Grandma pulling out those amazing stories just when you didn't expect it... slightly off her trolley by drinking the strong wine at Christmans which instantly changes the body's blood ratio with almost any alcohol added!

Again I personally like it upfront with why you care or the point... but the reflection I think is what people like as a choice and not to have big feeling about needing to manage someone's passion or over-anxiousness.

People might not like for others to question them or say some truths, but they themselves can o it without being so offended >_<)

Here's a story to reflect exactly what YOU can't say even those others CAN and even though YOU AGREE WITH THEM!:
-------------------------
My mini-story:

I was in high school and walking down the street after coming out of my friends house... he said while walking:

-"My dad is such a bastard."
- Quickly I supported his statement and said "Yeah I know"...
- And he "What?..." so I repeated...
- He kind of stopped for a moment and looked me in the eye a bit and said "I can call him a bastard but you can't!"
- (and then I did the Charlie Brown wiggly line mouth thing..)
oo
~

I was thinking after "why can'T I agree with something he already said out loud! as true?"

Some analysis welcome... just to hear it in different words what you think is going on there (he wasn't the biggest bastard but maybe annoying, ratty or too narrow minded)

SUMMARY

People and story-telling seem to go together (not just the telling part!)

Tell your story even if it's generalised a bit.

As in film-making stories, as in life?

Seems to make sense and feel good. Perhaps more sharing...

@freeschool Also, I disagree with contextualizing ourselves for others, explaining why and how we live, believe, affirm and demand what and how we do. It might help convince some people faster, but it also plays into the bad habit of demanding people befriend you as requirement for them to appear human or worthy of respect or being listened to. That is requirement that some of us will never meet, for various reasons, and that I believe in opposing, rather than play into.
