In the coming times of economic hardship, destigmatizing sexwork should take a priority. Punishing people that do sexwork or their clients is punishing poverty and consent. I hope that people that explore sexwork as an alternative income know that there are networks and ways to reduce possible risk and harm. That they have rights because they are workers and sexwork does not devalue them.

@PiedraFiera SEXWORK / MONEY FOR BILLS

Yeah I agree, I remember seeing how logic of sexwork came up as an answer from my girlfriend when we were getting poor and wouldn't be able to pay the rent. It did seem natural in a surprising *and* unsurprising way in both getting direct money and also the suggestion of it by her (if there is an easy way to do it and not problematic in itself of course which I'm not sure of but besides the point a bit right now in the story)
but even still I blame the banks sucking of people's energy (for their greed and % on loans) and governments creating uncaring jobs for what people then have to make do for money any which way they can and unsupported by uncaring patterns and systems everywhere.

It's heavy burden they put on us and I don't like people have to come up with a way (even business ways) in order to use or extract from others in order to pay pyramids of tax or % and then use that energy / money to do even more irresponsible ways each year digging our holes deeper or spending it on themselves to reinforce their power and positions of control.

@freeschool
Capitalism pushes explotation on us. The way to go is its abolition.

@PiedraFiera ABOLISHION?

I like the sentiment but I'm not sure in the execution of it.
Could you paint the picture a bit more @PiedraFiera how it's possible or how you think of this term... without me expecting a perfect picture either, because let's face it where we're coming from is quite fucked up already.

@freeschool It is proven possible by all the cultures and peoples that lived and live it. They are very diverse so the limit is our imagination.

@PiedraFiera That is true and I feel this is the case (imagination and will power low together, too focuses with eyes than mind power)
Anyway could you say just a little more ?

@freeschool I think we need to acknowledge more those who have been opposing capitalism and colonialism for centuries. I would rather people listen to them than me. And I believe we need to dismantle the foundational myths of the current power structures, like leadership. On this I refer to Cedric Robinson.

@PiedraFiera Yeah not bad but you might have passed a chance to also say it / re-say it whatever those names mean to you (maybe I'll find out) so yes I'm thinking it's good why you said but don't be shy or even repeat what they said because I think dismantling or stopping people somehow is agreed by many just the rest we need help with... which I'm sure we might find out.

So without pushing and just in case your shy. saying it in your view doesn't mean it's the only way and if you're not sure maybe see if there is a yewtu.be video or some lines of text somewhere.
