Got a phone call this morning from same state, I hang up because of strange number.
Then I got 3 minutes of voice-message, inside the voice-message is nothing. The background sounds like people sit in the car and play radio. How does that happen.
(I’m glad I didn’t pick up)

@Sphinx Robocallers been infesting my phone lately and have no idea where they even got it

@ProtoOfSnagem
In my state you can register your number on a list; companies cannot call numbers on that list for promotions or sales
Check if you've got something like that

@rastinza

Sounds good, does that means lost some privacy too..
It's a good that they have the option 📞

@Sphinx @rastinza Did that already when it got bad, it helped but doesn't stop the less than ethical ones. Blocking seems like an option for now, though I do know that they spoof numbers, so its effectiveness is debatable. I suppose not answering any unrecognized numbers perhaps?

@ProtoOfSnagem

not answering any unrecognized numbers, good point,

I was thinking about google voice number, if you didn’t add the contact to the cellphone, google voice will ask the caller to say their name first. The problem google voice need use Wireless network or Cellular data to receive phone call. In that way need a main phone number anyway.

@rastinza

@ProtoOfSnagem
Not answering unrecognised calls doesn't look like a good solution to me, you're precluding yourself a lot of valid calls.
I often receive phone calls for jobs, I would be losing all of that if I were not to reply
