@PunaisetPimpulat Fedora has a bit more steeper learning curve than Linux Mint because it doesn't include patented and closed source stuff, but once you learn to deal with it, it's a really solid distro and I've been installing it on computers of average users with very positive experience.
#thelinuxgamer reviews the #Librem5, #Birch phone by @purism

It sounds like the Librem 5 is making good progress in its performance. I am also seeing pictures of bluetooth from @todd, and gaming videos by @dos
Pretty soon we're going to have #gnulinux phones available, small handheld Linux computers!
@Gargron
Mastodon is only one of the elements of the #fediverse, there is more efficient #Pleroma (and allowinger longer msg), #Pixelfed or #Anfora for pictures, #PeerTube for videos (and audio/w picture), #FunkWhale for audio only, #Plume, #WriteFreely & other for full blog, #ForgeFed for source code/#Git projects, #Diokeli for #research papers, #Mobilizon for events. All are united by #ActivityPub protocol, and some by #Zot6 too.
For the coming winter holidays, I'm giving you a quick introduction to enve, a new 2D animation tool for Linux, made by Maurycy Liebner :)

@schestowitz
That is why I quit #twitter a few years ago. It locked me out of my account and requested my phone number to restore it.
Not in this lifetime dude!
I would rather use pigeons and smoke signals 😂
"Yet Another #Librem5 and #PinePhone Comparison" is an in-depth technical comparison of the two devices by #postmarketOS developer @martijnbraam
You can read it here: https://tuxphones.com/yet-another-librem-5-and-pinephone-linux-smartphone-comparison/ #linux
@purism Biggest improvement for 2019 was switching from gmail to #ProtonMail 🇨🇭❤️ Looking forward to my #Librem5 in 2020!
Have you heard about Trunk for the Fediverse?
...I hadn't - discovered it earlier this afternoon. Very interesting!
Made a series of Toots about it, and since I started a new blog (finally), a blog post with the same content and polish, text formatting, etc.

So I’ve heard about Mastodon, have no idea how it works but I’ll give it a go. Basically interested in most things scientific, particularly as they relate to climate change, the environment etc. That and general intelligent chat, if such a thing exists online. #introduction
I've been reading various guides about Mastodon ( thanks to @design_RG ) to participate more effectively.
One thing I don't get is why it is people focused rather than topic focused (like reddit).
Specifically, I don't really understand how to follow a topic...
Like, do I have to search using a hashtag everytime I want to keep up with something??

Well over 2 thousand people have filled out this survey, studying the effects of Operating Systems on happiness.
Awesome. Some fantastic data here. I'm going to leave the survey open through the weekend, then publish the findings next week.
I’m interested in science and technology. Free and open source software are important to me.
