Voted. Straight Democrat. GQP was *NOT* an option. I'm way too pissed off with Libertarians being a political branch of QAnon, and frankly I'm way too pissed off with how voting is managed altogether. I loathe and despise Democrats, but I just have to learn to lower my standards.

@RedSV Last time I voted Party was Bob Dole vs. Bill Clinton. I voted Republican because, "It's the end of the world if the Democrats win!" They did, it wasn't. I hated Bob Dole and Stephen Ran-for-Mayor-Wannabe-Governor Goldsmith. I felt dirty, a shower couldn't take the stain off my soul. Same song, different dance partner with Democrats "End of the world vote blue." I absolutely refused to feel like I did in 1996 again.

I didn't. I'm so at the bottom of this whole mess.

@Romaq
I finally realized at a ripe old age that we can never think of finding the ultimate solution, but the immediate problem is the Republicans and their sock puppets, the new Libertarians. That's the only reason I'm voting Democrat. As far as later ... well figure out the next steps when it's time

@Romaq a vote is a chess move, not a love letter

@aosinski if it's a chess move, it's a game played out year after year only getting worse. It's a stupid game of choosing an evil not quite as bad as that other evil, and then we wonder why the result is still evil.

My vote was an expression of rage and anger for the whole works, a bitter salute with my finger of impudence towards the whole sordid mess. "love letter" doesn't begin to describe it!

@Romaq expressions of anger don't quite work for voting but policies do have impacts and politicians most certainly campaign for certain policies voters ask for.

So you can complain about it and it will be not effective a lot of things but it will be effective at others.

"You can't not vote, that's apathy and shows you don't care at all.
You can't vote fascist, you'll lose your right to vote at all.
You can't vote according to your principles, because the time to vote your principles is when nobody cares and it just doesn't matter.
So you'd better hold your nose and vote blue, because what else are you gonna do? So your concerns and your voice can be ignored. Again. Just like every other time."

I guess for the Democratic Party it's a great thing I was of a mind to middle finger the Libertarian Party in rage rather than follow W. E. B. Dubois's example: hartford-hwp.com/archives/45a/

I mean, it's not like I can expect the Pro Slavery Party to give their constituents any thought: apnews.com/article/prisons-cal

So cool! Go ahead and feel smug in how voting is just a strategy game for you that doesn't involve useless personal anguish. What's the point of having personal values in the face of The Collective, am I right?
