@Romaq a vote is a chess move, not a love letter
@aosinski if it's a chess move, it's a game played out year after year only getting worse. It's a stupid game of choosing an evil not quite as bad as that other evil, and then we wonder why the result is still evil.
My vote was an expression of rage and anger for the whole works, a bitter salute with my finger of impudence towards the whole sordid mess. "love letter" doesn't begin to describe it!
@aosinski https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/black-voters-are-so-loyal-that-their-issues-get-ignored/
"You can't not vote, that's apathy and shows you don't care at all.
You can't vote fascist, you'll lose your right to vote at all.
You can't vote according to your principles, because the time to vote your principles is when nobody cares and it just doesn't matter.
So you'd better hold your nose and vote blue, because what else are you gonna do? So your concerns and your voice can be ignored. Again. Just like every other time."
I guess for the Democratic Party it's a great thing I was of a mind to middle finger the Libertarian Party in rage rather than follow W. E. B. Dubois's example: http://www.hartford-hwp.com/archives/45a/298.html
I mean, it's not like I can expect the Pro Slavery Party to give their constituents any thought: https://apnews.com/article/prisons-california-gavin-newsom-minimum-wage-slavery-a0aed840fc6dc54c7eb0da98d0f6bb05
So cool! Go ahead and feel smug in how voting is just a strategy game for you that doesn't involve useless personal anguish. What's the point of having personal values in the face of The Collective, am I right?
