@DrSandraDuffy I am very much pro-refugee.. but what do you mean by "international law"? Which law? Set where and how? Usually when people use this term they are referring to a treaty or something, which treaty? Binding to what countries?

@freemo You know, googling “refugee convention” would have given you the correct answer in less time than it took to demand someone spoon feed you.

@jens Oh, what a nice looking high horse you rode in on there..

1) I didnt "demand" anything, but your imagined offense is an interesting tactic... I asked a question for clarification, politely.

2) What would make you think I or anyone would know to google "refugee convention", once you know about the convention, sure, but if someone is asking hte question presumably they dont so would have no idea to search for a "convention" at all. (the op certainly made no mention of a convention).

3) I am, in fact, aware of the "convention" thing is as far as I know (and I spent a few hours after seeing this post googling on it) there is no explicit provision that says you must allow refugees to freely cross your borders without checking in at a border crossing point. But again, this is why i am asking. If it is clearly defined in that convention, or any other, then I would love to hear where it is stated so I can read about it.

4) If that is what is being referred to it is important to note that only countries that adhere to the ruling count. For example India is not a party to that convention and therefore it does not apply to them. That said most countries do adhere to it.

@freemo But if @jens doesn't come in on a high horse, how else are they to look down upon you for asking a polite, relevant question to a bold, universal assertion that clearly has no universal jurisdiction binding upon all countries.

youtu.be/cG0cbZjMU1s might be useful for Duffy to consider. But Jens doesn't seem to particularly care about any of that.

LOOK AT THIS HIGH HORSE! IS IT NOT BEAUTIFUL?

@Romaq

There is a nice breeze when your up on top of that high horse. The rest of us, however, can smell your horse's farts :)
