Anyone know of a privacy friendly alternative to Kindle?
I was just going to buy one, never register and keep it on airplane mode then sideload books via calibre from my pc but after reading this [article](https://nullsweep.com/kindle-collects-a-surprisingly-large-amount-of-data/) I don't want to run the risk of having all my data still being stored & then sent when i forget to keep airplane mode off

I recently noticed both Whatsapp & Instagram have been down. Is meta struggling to maintain their platforms ? Heh doesn't matter if their company crashes its a **W** for #privacy
