Colonialism has never been a cospiration: it has always been done in plain sight.

Also it could not be a successful cospiracy if it had to coordinate millions of people.

No, it's not a cospiracy.

It's just people influences by US synthetic culture over the world being clever by doing... US things.

OR maybe I'm too european to understand the deep meaning of shitposting, after all. 😇

@wolf480pl

No.

I'm arguing they are mindlessy polluting the global noosphere because they can (slow language barrier). And they can do so mindlessy because they are an imperialist nation.

@izaya

@izaya

In fact I think shitposting is a US colonial tool.

It's not joking, it's not sarcasm or irony... it's not even meant to attract attention or to produce a feedback.

It's shitting into the global noosphere, just like many company pollute the biosphere.

A very US thing, indeed.

Very good news!

But isn't branch prediction the root of all evil?

Karrot is a free open source platform for sharing real life resources (for example excess food, to prevent it going to waste).

You can follow the project at:

The main instance is at karrot.world

You can find the source code at github.com/yunity

(The emphasis is on food, but the platform can be used to share anything.)

I am sick and tired of constantly reviewing settings in web browsers to see if they have snuck in some new tracking mechanism that I get to disable because "your privacy is important to us".

I am sick and tired of all the black UX that goes into this, like opt out instead of opt in, or at least providing top level choices like, say, Fuck NO I'd NEVER EVER Like You To Track ANYTHING Now And In Every Perceivable Future. Like sync'ing every setting in your profile except tracking related settings, because hey that way you might by mistake opt out of tracking on another installation where you really wanted to be tracked. The list goes on and on.

Browsers are critical infrastructure and clearly an open source stamp on them fails in itself to provide any meaningful shield towards capitalist subversion.

I'd like a browser with a license that explicitly rules out *any* kind of commercial entity or interest contributing or directing development.

@jauntywunderkind420

Totally agree.

But for a point: we are NOT powerless.

On the contrary, we are very VERY powerful, we just need to open our minds to our tools of trade.

Take bugs.

Intelligence injects vulnerabilities though bugs since ever and they've always had plausible deniability.

We can do the same.

The stacks we are forced to use are so complex and messy that nobody can tell an optimization from a malicious bug designed to maximize the damage to the capital in some rare use case.

USA Intelligence does this since decades, so it can't be evil, right?
