@Sphinx It's never a bad idea - to place your foot when starting. If the vehicle was in gear (more common for a standard) it might jolt forward, or backward if the reverse gear was engaged.
Older cars did not have this, and it did happen to people. Newer ones added a sensor and won't fire the starter without the brake pedal depressed.

other people told me his car also don't need foot on brake to start the car, I don't know why I have this image that foot need on the brake...
Perhaps majority of automatic car don't need foot on the brake to start the car. Do you agree?😀

right now I have a problem with my MT, is that: after I turn and then go uphill the car will stall, it's been server times, any suggestion? I guess I need minus the gear as far as past the turn...?
