Many will respond to this with some iteration of “we are above violence”. My question to them would be “at what point will you defend yourself?”

@rejinl

Gangsters always watch each other’s backs so it could cause some dilemmas.

@jvagle

Oh GAWD! I always thought this guy was 3/4 dooshbag, but this makes it 💯

@freemo

Given what happened on January 6th there may be a lot of people that think they’ll be treated with kid gloves.

It seems law enforcement should be saying there will be ZERO tolerance for anything but peaceful protest regarding a Trump indictment. Fuck these crybabies.

“Giant blob of seaweed heading toward Florida” seems like a logical outcome.

@RobertMaguire

There won’t be anyone, not a single person, that will go under ground and supply them.

@drewharwell Maybe another issue that warrants consideration is addressing ChatGPT as if it were a person. Your questions, like many others, are framed as though the machine responding is self-aware. It’s not “confused”; you’re anthropomorphizing it.

@ZhiZhu @ProPublica

They didn’t include the kids that are turned into pillars of salt after viewing a drag queen.

I watch way too much cable news and I’m tired of the way an interviewer will say something like “what’s your reaction to President Biden’s…” when they could make it simple and just say “give me your best 30 second sound bite that best condenses your party’s daily talking points AND satisfies your base regarding President Biden’s…” Much more honest.

OK, so honestly, I kind of mostly loathe Lawrence O’Donnell, but I caught his MSNBC segment last night talking about “semantic infiltration”. Went down an internet rabbit hole and found a fascinating WaPo editorial from 1978. Not so sure about what it concludes but worth a look.

Wow! Atheists are considered slightly more favorable than evangelicals and Mormons. That saying some thing!

@WayneSmith@toot.community

Time to switch to unleaded.

It’s always fascinating the way the popular media concern themselves with how 30% of the population is going to react if Donald Trump is indicted. Instead of reporting on the concern, I prefer two simple words. Fuck them.

Cathie Wood has “opinions” about the SVB and how regulators should have been more focused on the “traditional banking system” and less on the “decentralized, yada yada, (insert endless stream of crypto-catch phrase)”. Elon agrees and makes unlettered comparison to 1929.

What Cathie does NOT disclose is that she has been buying up Coinbase and now defunct Silvergate Bank and other questionable crypto assets portending to be snapping up “bargains”. Greasy grifty pump and dump shill, that one.

@GottaLaff

of course, if the child used abortion pills, all five of the adults would be charged with murder.

Am I getting this right?

In Texas, you can be held accountable for “murder” for procuring abortifacients for a pregnant woman but you can’t be held accountable for murder if you provide an AR-15 and seven, 30 round clips* to the Uvalde school shooter?
