@pivoinebleue@mstdn.social

so I understand Fox News has an opening in a primetime spot.

CNN and MSNBC are spending at least 10 minutes each going on and on about a ONE (one fucking poll!) poll saying Biden shouldn’t run for president. An election that isn’t going to fucking happen for a fucking year and a half!!!

I wish they’d spend that much time dragging that little cunt Tucker, Carlson.

@crooksandliars

heavens! I guess the liberals won’t be able to conjure the dead to rig the elections anymore. Very savvy on the man with the banana suit.

@atheistbot

Insurance companies like to blame things on god to avoid liability. Kind of like blaming the dog when you fart.

… and as a result, Fox is paying over three quarters of a billion dollars. Right? What if Dominion went to trial and the jury found in their favor, then felt fair damages was $20 million?

This is a civil lawsuit. This settlement is fucking unreal. They did very well. Dominion doesn’t owe anyone except their shareholders anything, for better or worse. That’s how it works.

I hope good screenwriter turns the Dominion v Fox depositions into a movie treatment. That would be more satisfying than a jury award.

What’s the authors opinion of Disney? Would Disney exist if there were an “authoritarian collapse“? Maybe the author has an opinion about the Trail of Tears. Authoritarian collapse? Jim Crow and separate but equal? How about COINTELPRO? Abu Ghraib? The list goes on and vigilance is endless. Authoritarian collapse sounds really scary and is neato Clickbait, but the accuracy of the characterization is questionable. That’s all.

@JoParkerBear

Honestly, after reading it a second time, it has become even more annoying. Like I said, there’s a lot of crazy right wing shit going on now. It’s not good and we need to be vigilant and resist, but there is plenty of evidence to counter the “authoritarian collapse narrative” that is so typical of the clickbait teapot tempest crap that generates far more drama than reality.

I think it’s more like “sorry my furious cunnilingus has produced such imperceptible results but my Viagra prescription is ready” energy.

@JoParkerBear

So there’s a ton of crazy right wing shit going on right no, but “authoritarian collapse” seems a little hyperbolic. 🤏

If anything, the entire history of America is a fight against authoritarianism. Today’s struggles are certainly ugly and Orwell is alive and well, but don’t forget about William “remember the Maine” Hearst. And if the author missed the part about American genocide and slavery then 🤷🏻‍♂️

Musk is a steeming pile, but if we as a society depend on a private organization to provide us with public safety, then that’s on us.

The author just wants to prove that they are thoughtful, perceptive, and use “big picture thinking” to shape their worldview. No bias here, just trenchant observations about the state of our “divided country “.

@mercedesallen

Jesus would be so happy. Oops. Wait, did I say “would be happy”? I meant Jesus “is” so happy ‘cause he rose from the dead so he could continue to stand watch over our moral purity and to save us from the gays.

Look how fast the United States government springs into action if you aren’t rich and you lack political power

Even Merrick Garland came out of his hidey-hole to make a statement

So, Jack Teixeira gets to await trial at Mar-a-Lago where he can sell state secrets he took, right?
