OK. Enjoy your gun. It’s your right.

another gun lobby myth. Crime has been declining in the United States for decades.

Statistically, after YOU being the most likely person to shoot you, the next likely person to shoot you is an acquaintance, family member, or spouse.

defend your family? Seems like the only defense a gun is likely to provide is the one that defends you against people you know.

@Teri_Kanefield

maybe we shouldn’t think of the bill of rights as a statement of fact, but rather (hate to use corporate speak) a mission statement?

Ooo. Tough guy, eh? Your answer proves my point. Gun owners live in a Hollywood fantasy land where they’re going to save the day with their trusty piece in hand. It would be comic if it weren’t so tragic.

@TomSullivan

Who won the Civil War? America’s plantation owners are alive and well.

“They have voiced concerns about the ability to protect themselves from violent crime in a city that has been scarred by drive-by shootings and deadly road rage incidents”

Really? Good luck with that.

Why do we as a society continue to put up with the paranoid silliness of gun owners? Statistically, if you’re a gun owner, the most likely person to shoot you is...you. The rest is just crying in your pillow.

Hey MSNBC! (as if my grievance would be entertained) There has not been a single primary vote. There has not been a single minute of Trump before a jury of his peers. THE ELECTION IS NOT FOR FOURTEEN, (>>F O U R T E E N<<) EEF’ing months!!! Please stop spending your 24/7 airtime discussing, analyzing, endlessly parsing and mapping election polls. Please.

@stevesilberman

But...but...what if someone complains that the NYT is biased? Or worse, what if someone said the NYT wasn’t being fair and balanced? That would be unbecoming of the paper of record!

@georgetakei

Everyone knows kittens want to grow up and marry a prince and live happily ever after!

We can’t let this left-wing misinformation stand!!

@CStamp @SpinozasHeresy

In the long term, principles are everything.

In the short term, obvious and unoriginal performance is not principle.

@CStamp

🙄...The 1 ACTUAL principle of Burning Man...

Party on dude.

The carbon released into the air TODAY will kill FAR MORE of those protesters than any amount of Fukushima waste water...Focus people! Focus!!

@dana

Um, they’re incapable of human connection? Maybe mommy issues? Definitely can’t get girlfriends.

@jbmr

Suits and ties (ties? really? WTF is a tie for!?) are the powdered wigs of the 20th century.

The same six Californians that moved to Texas for the low taxes, lack of regulation and good ole hometown Christian fellowship?

The greatest source of my fatigue, personally, is the boundless and painfully willful ignorance of so many.

@josh

Another favorite of mine is “some people say” or “people are saying”. 😒

Reagan, won on the southern strategy. The southern strategy worked(s) because America never properly buried the confederacy. The confederacy was coddled like a spoiled child, and the good intentions of reconstruction were reduced to a semi-failure. Until we properly bury the confederacy, the sickness will continue.

it’s difficult to reconcile the notion of free will against the demonstrable facts of chemistry.
