There are 3,143 counties in the US. I keep waiting for our journalism to do a story about how each county is broken down into small precincts to distribute and collect votes and how INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE it would be to “rig” an election.

If you want to argue facts with a Trump supporter, good luck. If you want to drive them absolutely up a wall, tell them you won’t be voting for him because he wears diapers and smells bad. Keep hammering on that point and nothing else. Argue calmly with things like “everyone knows he wears diapers” or “look... if you want a president that smells bad, go for it, but no other president in this country’s history has ever smelled that bad. That’s a fact!” Try it. The reaction is priceless.

I’m unaware of any democracy that came about in the absence of violence; either by an oppressor or by the oppressed. Kvetching about the many ways an unlikely Trump presidency will result in a fascist nightmare is foolish. If one truly believes in such a possibility, then the only concern should be the kind of violence one is prepared to commit in the defense of the democracy.

On its face, the notion that Trump has presidential immunity is just dumb. Silly. Buffoonery. And yet, five days since the hearing his lawyer argued such nonsense, MSNBC is STILL...STILL! hyperventilating over it! Just put it to bed!! Trump is a clown and says stupid things to get the EXACT response he’s getting. And MSNBC (and many others) habitually beat his dead horses for days at a time thus providing him the media attention he craves. After 7 years of Trumps buffoonery has no one learned?

In a stunning feat of legal jiu-jitsu, Israel has skillfully executed the “Israel is rubber, Hamas is glue” defense. Genius! The only problem I can see with that is Hamas is not a signatory to the ICJ and the barbarity of a terror group like Hamas is absolutely no justification for a sovereign state acting like barbarians. But beyond that, as far as I can tell...case closed!

So, here’s an idea. Quit (oh please!) reacting to anything Trump does as if he’s like anything other than a buffoon. Simple. He’s not Hitler, he’s not dangerous, he’s been indicted on 91 felony counts and is going to prison for the rest of his life. Any other reaction inflates the self importance of himself and his followers. Quit giving it oxygen. Please.

I’m thinking it’s high time Congress came up with something like, oh, I don’t know, like a war powers act? You know, something that puts some teeth into their already broad constitutional powers to approve military action?...naaaahhhh...

Those of us with a deep seated, personal faith in Bigfoot can assure you that Bigfoot would not approve of Donald Trump‘s behavior. I’m aware of nothing in the Bigfoot literature that would condone Trump’s buffoonery. End of story.

This morning at dawn, country A with a military consisting of .00041% of its population attacked country B with a military consisting of .00043% of its population thus setting off a cycle of destruction and chaos for 99.99916% of their combined populations who would prefer to simply get on with their day to day lives.

I’ve been looking for a side hustle these days and I sent my (decidedly thin) resume to FOX, MSNBC and CNN asking for $500 a day to endlessly ponder, predict, pontificate, and perseverate on either of “two sides” of “the debate”. Am I asking for too much money on this one?

If your local weather reporter forecast an evacuation warning for a hurricane that was expected, say, in November, would you pack up your belongings and head for the hills? Would such a prediction even be newsworthy since weather forecasts are only reliable for 5 to 7 days out? Of course you wouldn’t evacuate and of course such a forecast would be so laughable it would never be reported. So why do people go apeshit over political polls and, more importantly, how is that they are newsworthy?

I really don’t give a flip about Americas opinions on elections or the justice system. Opinions are meaningless. I’m only interested in post-election morning and trial verdict day. The rest is a mass media circle jerk.
