@freemo Yup. They looked different depending on where you were somehow and almanacks
were made to refer to. From a ship at sea before decent clocks were available.

@sciencebase About then, I tried to catch one flying over a pair of Goosanders (Geesander?? )on the Ancholme, who were watching it like we watch The Red Arrows around here. Usual hopeless blurred results, tho.

@freemo I can fix you up with high tensile steel wire for the purpose. Same stuff as bra underwiring actually so no trouble.
