@georgia@spinster.xyz Well, they're both great bands, imho.

But, I like the musics.

@GlitchesUnleashed @Surasanji @georgia this reminds me of the time in college when the campus gay group announced that everyone would be demonstrating their support of their event the next day by wearing blue jeans

I have ice cream. Two flavors. Ben and Jerry's.

I have Phish Food.

I have Bob Marley's One Love.

Which should I eat first?

@GlitchesUnleashed@freespeechextremist.com @Jojothegoodperson@freespeechextremist.com @georgia@spinster.xyz I'm laughing.

@Jojothegoodperson@freespeechextremist.com @GlitchesUnleashed@freespeechextremist.com @georgia@spinster.xyz What, like inbreeding?

here's a term for you I learned a few years back "Secular Jew" labels tend to suck, but it one that I have found to actually work really well. I never knew it was a thing. Then I found that there was. :)

@georgia@spinster.xyz @GlitchesUnleashed@freespeechextremist.com Keep in mind that Early Modern Europe starts in like 1465 or something

@georgia@spinster.xyz @GlitchesUnleashed@freespeechextremist.com Ah, mistake. That's early MODERN Europe.

@georgia@spinster.xyz @GlitchesUnleashed@freespeechextremist.com In a section regarding female homosexuality in western culture without identity:

Ideas about women's sexuality were linked to contemporary understanding of female physiology. The vagina was considered an inward version of the penis; where nature's perfection created a man, often nature was thought to be trying to right itself by prolapsing the vagina to form a penis in some women.

This is placed in a historical context of early medieval Europe and beliefs at the time.

@georgia@spinster.xyz @GlitchesUnleashed@freespeechextremist.com I'll quote it here for you:
In a section regarding Lesbians outside of western culture:

Lesotho, females engage in what is commonly considered sexual behavior to the Western world: they kiss, sleep together, rub genitals, participate in cunnilingus, and maintain their relationships with other females vigilantly. Since the people of Lesotho believe sex requires a penis, however, they do not consider their behavior sexual, nor label themselves lesbians.

@georgia@spinster.xyz @GlitchesUnleashed@freespeechextremist.com It only appears 3 times, and the context is not about men in dresses.

@georgia@spinster.xyz @GlitchesUnleashed@freespeechextremist.com The word penis appears exactly 3 times in the article.
