Having one of those days at work where all I want to do is grind my teeth and murder someone.

The more I read about off the grid living the more I'm interested in living off grid. Sorta.

I think I'd rather live in like a commune of sorts. A community of like minded peoples who come together to do some farming, maybe some aqua culture. We'd all live apart, of course, our own spaces to do our own things.

But close enough to help each other out if needed- and some shared resources in the form of garden/fish/whatever that we got going on there.

I'm seeing one of those turbine hydro power solutions- the kind that can make 10 kW on their own with out much in the way of head space. A few wind turbines. Some solar. Battery banks, of course, that set up a primitive grid between the houses so we can all share from one another's back up energy if really required.

Shouldn't be with that kind of on-demand hydro-power, but better safe than sorry, right?
