🇷🇴Far-right Romanian presidential candidate Călin Georgescu has announced that if elected, he will ban the transit of Ukrainian grain and halt military aid to Ukraine.
Georgescu emphasized that his top priority is the Romanian people, stating, “I cannot imagine a situation where there is a war next to Romania, in the middle of Europe.”
Additionally, he questioned the effectiveness of EU funds allocated to Romania’s economy and development.
“Have EU funds helped us? Are we dependent on EU funds? Can’t our country produce? Don’t we have other investors? There is money everywhere in this world, let me tell you,” Georgescu remarked.
It is worth noting that the Constitutional Court of Romania has validated the results of the first round of presidential elections, which saw far-right politician Călin Georgescu and pro-European candidate Elena Lasconi advancing to the runoff.
