🟠 "To recognize a Palestinian state today would be to recognize terrorism," said Jordan Bardella, leader of the far-right party in France ahead of Sunday's elections, and who may become the next prime minister. When asked about the war in Gaza, Bardella estimated that France's position since "all the time", supporting the two-state solution, "became obsolete immediately following the Hamas attack" on October 7. "To recognize a Palestinian state today as we speak would be to recognize terrorism and it would be to recognize political legitimacy for an organization whose charter states to destroy the State of Israel," he said.
