A new system for alerting citizens was tested in Kyiv, which has several advantages such as individual alerts for each loudspeaker, notification of the specific nature of the threat, immediate processing and delivery of messages, guaranteed delivery of the sound signal to all corners of the city, fully autonomous operation with redundancy, and a multi-level diagnostic and monitoring system for early identification and occurrence of abnormal situations and preventive maintenance. To ensure that the sound signal is optimally communicated to residents, the actual noise level along the main roads of the city was measured and a noise map was made. In order for a person to hear the sound, the message must be above 65 dB or 15 dB above the noise level around them.

This law will take effect on September 1, 2023.

Alice the cat was rescued by our team during a fire in an apartment in one of Zhytomyr's high-rise buildings. It was actually Alice who alerted everyone to the fire, as she was meowing so desperately and loudly. Thankfully, both she and her owners are safe, but the four-legged cutie was very frightened. The fire was put out in 16 minutes, and the kitchen appliances and a window were destroyed.

Residents of Kyiv are bracing for an increase in apartment rental prices: the reason for this is that, as is customary, after the heating season, renting apartments in the budget segment becomes more expensive, and prices may increase by 10-15% by the end of spring. The average cost of a one-room apartment in the capital is UAH 9 thousand per month, and in Khrushchev and more distant areas from the center, it is even cheaper. The only thing that could prevent prices from rising is the difficult economic situation.
