A new system for alerting citizens was tested in Kyiv, which has several advantages such as individual alerts for each loudspeaker, notification of the specific nature of the threat, immediate processing and delivery of messages, guaranteed delivery of the sound signal to all corners of the city, fully autonomous operation with redundancy, and a multi-level diagnostic and monitoring system for early identification and occurrence of abnormal situations and preventive maintenance. To ensure that the sound signal is optimally communicated to residents, the actual noise level along the main roads of the city was measured and a noise map was made. In order for a person to hear the sound, the message must be above 65 dB or 15 dB above the noise level around them.

CNN has reported that the United States will be providing a new military aid package to Ukraine, worth approximately $400 million.
