Europe must get ready for looming war, Donald Tusk warns.

Tusk’s comments came days after a Russian missile briefly breached Polish airspace during a major attack on Ukraine, prompting Warsaw to put its forces on heightened readiness. Ukrainian officials have said large-scale Russian missile and drone attacks had targeted energy infrastructure.

Tusk has been using his platform to try to add a sense of urgency to Europe’s debates about defence and aid to Ukraine, amid fears about the future of American assistance and concerns about defence industrial capacity.

He called for urgent assistance for Kyiv, saying the next two years of the war would decide everything and that “we are living in the most critical moment since the end of the second world war”.

Ukraine receives more and more ammunition for German Gepard air defense systems.

The other day it became known that the supply of ammunition to Gepard anti-aircraft guns has improved.

In the summer, BILD reported that there was not enough ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft guns in Germany, and due to the shortage, Ukrainian anti-aircraft fighters were forced to conserve them. Later, the Ministry of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany announced that they were increasing supplies.

The other day, in a conversation with BILD, an anonymous officer of the Armed Forces confirmed that the supply of ammunition to the Gepard has indeed improved somewhat.

Production of projectiles
It will be recalled that last year the Rheinmetall defense concern launched a new line at the plant in Unterluss (Lower Saxony) in a few months to increase the production of anti-aircraft shells.

In total, Rheinmetall promised to supply Ukraine with 300,000 35 mm shells for the Gepard. But this year, only 40,000 units will be sent.

Congratulations to Ukrainians and all Christians celebrating Easter today.

A holiday that reminds us of the strength of the spirit that will not allow the darkness to win. He will not let his will be overshadowed. And which unites - unites families, peoples and continents.

Now there is not a day or night when Russian terror does not try to break our lives. This night - again rockets, again "shaheds" against people.
But we defend ourselves, we persevere, our spirit does not give up and knows that death can be averted. Life can win.

May all prayers for protection from evil be heard today. May faith unite all good hearts and strengthen those who defend their home. And may real peace become closer for all of our Ukraine and all peoples who suffer from wars.

Have a quiet Easter!

Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, promised to put to a vote the issue of financing aid to Ukraine. This will take place after Congress returns from the Easter recess.

"The speaker has made very clear statements that when we come back, this will be the next top item on the agenda . After we just passed all the bills that fund the federal government, I believe this will have overwhelming support in Congress, and we let's put the bill on the president's desk,"
The chairman of the intelligence committee Mike Turner reported.

The congressman noted that Speaker Johnson made it clear that he supports Ukraine, both directly to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and publicly.

"He made these statements publicly, as well as to the Secretary General of NATO," added the head of the intelligence committee.

The US House of Representatives should return from the Easter vacation on April 9 .

Turner expressed hope that the US Congress will be able to approve aid to Ukraine before the House of Representatives goes on vacation again from April 22.

"Of course, that's my hope. President Zelensky has made it clear to Speaker Johnson that we are at a critical point. The CIA director and the Secretary of Defense have all made it clear that we are at a critical stage that is starting to affect more than just morale Ukrainians who are fighting, but also on their ability to fight. Putin knows this. Obviously, we cannot allow Putin to win," he emphasized.

Russian officials persisted in saying Ukraine and the West had a role in last week’s deadly Moscow concert hall attack despite vehement denials of involvement by Kyiv and a claim of responsibility by an affiliate of the Islamic State group.

Without offering any evidence, Alexander Bortnikov, head of the Federal Security Service, or FSB, followed similar allegations by President Vladimir Putin, who linked the attack to Ukraine even as he acknowledged that the suspects who were arrested were “radical Islamists.”

The IS affiliate claimed it carried out the attack, and U.S. intelligence said it had information confirming the group was responsible. French President Emmanuel Macron said France also has intelligence pointing to “an IS entity” as responsible for the attack.

Bortnikov alleged that Western spy agencies also could have been involved in the deadliest terror attack on Russian soil in two decades, even as he acknowledged receiving a U.S. tip about the attack.

If Russia is under attack from terrorists, they will have no means of defending themselves, having wasted 7,000 tanks and 443,660 potential soldiers on Ukrainian Territory.

Who is going to defend Russia ? from an actual invasion of war now Putin has wasted their military resources on a neighbour.

Omar Ashour, Professor of Security and Military Studies, the author of How ISIS Fights: Military Tactics in Iraq, Syria, Libya, and Egypt.
Has an expert opinion on the ISIS attack on Russia.

The murder of 137 concert-goers is but the latest atrocity in a decade-long struggle between the Islamic State (ISIS) and Russia.

The die was cast on September 30, 2015, when Russia intervened in Syria to support the collapsing regime of Bashar al-Assad. ISIS operatives responded a month later by infiltrating Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh airport and planting a bomb on a Russian Airbus, killing all 224 passengers and crew.

In retribution, in September 2017, Russia is alleged to have killed ISIS’s former “war minister,” Gulmurod Khalimov, who had once been the commander of the police special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan and who had fought beside the Russian forces during the Tajik Civil War.
All of the alleged Crocus City Hall attackers are from Tajikistan.

The Syria-based “provinces” of ISIS – such as the defunct Homs and Raqqa – fought Russian regulars and irregulars, including the mercenary Wagner Group, in dozens of battles, most notably in Palmyra in 2015, 2016, and 2017. The December 2016 battles were particularly embarrassing for Russian President Vladimir Putin because ISIS forces recaptured the city from his forces and allies.

Between 2015 and 2024, Russia has supported many of ISIS’s avowed enemies. That includes military and intelligence coordination with Hezbollah, political support for Hamas, and political, intelligence, and possibly military support for the Taliban. All three organizations fought bitter battles against ISIS “provinces” and cells in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, and Afghanistan.

The Wagner Group and its successor remnants in the so-called Africa Corps have also fought ISIS in Libya, Mozambique, and Mali. ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS-K), the branch whose operatives are suspected to have committed the Crocus City Hall attack, is active primarily in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Khorasan “province” formally emerged in January 2015, when defectors from the Taliban and other groups pledged allegiance to ISIS.

🇩🇪 🇷🇺Ship from Russia: Investigations in Rostock

The German public prosecutor's office is investigating a possible breach of sanctions in connection with the freighter "Atlantic Navigator II" that was detained in the Rostock overseas port.

The ship coming from Russia loaded 251 containers with birch wood, which is subject to EU sanctions. Entering the port of Rostock, it is in EU territory.

Meanwhile, the Canadian shipping company CISN says it is working closely with the German authorities so that the detained freighter can continue its journey to the USA as soon as possible.

According to research by the "Ostsee-Zeitung", the ship coming from Russia was on its way to the USA and was loaded with, among other things, birch wood and enriched uranium for US nuclear power plants.

🇺🇳 UN Secretary-General spokesman Stéphane Dujarric has called on Ukraine to stop strikes on Russia's "civilian infrastructure." This is how he answered a journalist's question about the drone attack on the Alabuga facility in Tatarstan, where Shahed kamikaze drones are manufactured.

"We oppose and call for an end to all attacks on civilian infrastructure," the spokesman said.

Dujarric also noted that attacks on critical infrastructure in Ukraine continue, but did not call on Moscow to stop the strikes.
