The weatherman led again. They said about three days in the 70s and then back to the 80s. But now it says 60s and 70s at least through the end of the month. It's in the 50s this evening. I built a fire. Not a big one.

Polish authorities have detained a Belarusian suspected of organizing, on Moscow's behalf, an attack on Leonid Volkov, a close associate of late Russian oppositionist Alexei Navalny, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on April 19.
"A Belarusian working for Russia who ordered two Poles to assassinate Navalny's associate – detained," Tusk said on X. The two attackers are also in custody, he added.

Russell Bentley, a pro-Kremlin American man who fought against Ukraine in 2014, was killed in Russian-occupied Donetsk Oblast, Russian propagandist Margarita Simonyan claimed on Telegram on April 19. Bentley had previously been reported as missing.
⚡️ Senate Democrats back Johnson's foreign aid bills.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said on April 19 that Senate Democrats will support House Speaker Mike Johnson's series of bills that includes aid for Ukraine, Israel, and other priorities if they pass the House.
"If the House sends a national security package, we'll move quickly to send it to (U.S. President Joe Biden)," Schumer said on X.
"I hope the House gets it done—delay has cost the U.S. and our allies dearly."
