Rest in Peace Oleg Babi

❗️In Lviv, a square will be named in honor of the Hero of Ukraine, the officer of the GUR Ministry of Defense Oleg Babii, who made 9 successful incursions into the deep rear of the enemy, and also planned and coordinated 12 successful special operations with the involvement of representatives of the resistance movement in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

Major Babi's most famous achievement is the incursion in August 2023 together with a group of scouts deep into Russian territory, during which the group covered 600 kilometers on foot to neutralize 3 Tu-22M3 strategic bombers on enemy territory : one was completely destroyed, two were disabled. On the way back, the soldiers encountered the enemy. Oleg Babii, a 33-year-old lieutenant colonel of the General Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, covered the exit of his subordinates and died in a battle with Russian invaders.

Awarded the Gold Star of the Hero of Ukraine and the rank of colonel (posthumously). The scout is survived by his wife and two children.

Thank you Chancellor Scholtz. They really needed that.

Hungary cancels visit by German Foreign Minister Baerbock after Chancellor Olaf Scholz excoriated Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban over his unannounced trip to Moscow.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock was scheduled to meet her Hungarian counterpart in Budapest on Monday for talks, but the Hungarian government canceled the session on Friday evening on short notice to the surprise of the German government, according to an official in Berlin.

Scholz told reporters earlier Friday that Orban had given him no advance notice about his travel plans. “The European Council is represented by Charles Michel in terms of foreign policy — and not Hungary,” Scholz said, referring to the European Council president.
Ukraine can rely on Europe’s support and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine must not succeed, the chancellor added.

Stoltenberg on Peace Talks with the Russian Federation: Minsk-3 Cannot Be Allowed

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg emphasized that Alliance leaders are determined to resist any pressure to push Ukraine into talks that would involve relinquishing its territory or abandoning NATO membership as a precondition for a ceasefire.

"Alliance leaders are determined and strong, and this will be clearly expressed at the NATO summit, where I expect a strong aid package for Ukraine. With new training and assistance from the Alliance for Ukraine, a NATO command for Ukraine, financial commitments, additional announcements of increased military support, and bilateral security agreements," Stoltenberg emphasized.

He noted that it is Kyiv that should decide what conditions are acceptable for peace talks and any solution reached through negotiations, as Ukraine is a sovereign independent state.

It turns out that China has created mock-ups of modern US aircraft and ships and is training to destroy them, – Defense Post

Earlier it was revealed that China has created a mock-up of a key area in the capital of Taiwan, where the presidential office and other government facilities are located.

Do they think that American 🇺🇸 planes would just stay on the ground?

These two look better together

⚡️‼️ The secret of why Kyiv was not taken in three days was finally revealed by Putin!

He said that when Russian troops were standing near Kyiv, the Western partners asked Russia to cease fire. And it did. But the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not. Russia was deceived, says Putin.

Therefore, Putin continues that Russia, the aggressor, "simply cannot declare a ceasefire right now."

What Estonian drone companies are learning from Ukraine

• Estonian companies are getting lightning-quick user feedback and real-world electronic warfare testing, thanks to hands-on experiments in Ukraine.

• "Once the war in Ukraine started, we just put all these different [commercial] developments aside,” said Raul Rikk, capability development director at drone vehicle manufacturer Milrem.

• The small Baltic nation has heavily backed Ukraine’s defense, in part due to memories of its own traumatic Soviet occupation, and its 211 mile border with Russia.

• Alongside wagon-loads of weapons, a number of Estonian companies have gotten involved in helping Ukraine, including Milrem, quadcopter producer Krattworks, and others.

• In December 2022, Germany announced it would pay to send 14 of Milrem’s THeMIS vehicles to Ukraine, with packages designed for evacuating wounded soldiers and route clearance.

• Ukraine’s military was soon sending a stream of feedback to the company, said Rikk. “Even the guy who was operating [the drone]” sent feedback at first, he said.

• For one, Ukraine wanted more ballistic protection for the medical vehicles. Ukraine also requested better night vision capabilities so the machines could operate at night.

• *Yet another request was counter-jamming technology. Russia frequently uses electronic warfare devices, which have felled many U.S. precision weapons sent to Ukraine.*

• THeMIS’s autonomous navigation is helpful in navigating while jammed, said Rikk, as it allows the vehicle to plow on even without a signal from its operators. But it’s no easy task. Autonomous UGVs have to determine which bodies of water can be forded and which can’t, as well as which obstacles it can push through.

Zelensky, evening address:

I held a meeting of the Staff – a long one, and among the key topics in today's reports were drones and electronic warfare. We discussed production in Ukraine, financing, supply, and usage. All the specifics – starting from the most in-demand items on the front, particularly FPV drones. Of course, we also paid maximum attention to our long-range drones. We listened to the reports by Commander Sukharevskyi, Deputy Prime Minister Fedorov, Minister for Strategic Industries Kamyshin and Commander of the Air Force Oleshchuk, and made very important decisions. Time will reveal these decisions on the frontline.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Umerov reported on the details of his trip to the United States, the negotiations, and most importantly, the implementation of the defense packages that have been announced but have not yet been delivered to Ukraine. We are pushing this logistics forward.

Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on the situation in the main directions, with most of the fighting occurring in the Pokrovsk direction, in our Donetsk region. However, we are strengthening every direction now – from Kharkiv to the southern regions. I am grateful to every brigade, every soldier and commander who are truly resilient and accurate. Especially the 35th separate marine brigade, the 44th and 55th separate artillery brigades, the 71st separate jaeger brigade, the 108th separate territorial defense brigade, and the 110th separate mechanized brigade. Thank you all for your results, warriors!

russia is using the Kerch Bridge to remove stolen minerals from the occupied territories of Ukraine, according to an intelligence report from the UK Ministry of Defense.

One of the reasons russia is seeking to improve transport infrastructure in the occupied part of Ukraine is that it wants to extract more Ukrainian minerals. One of the russian occupation officials in the Zaporozhye region previously stated that the modernization and construction of road and rail transport links with russia would improve communication routes not only for military logistics, but also for the export of grain and minerals.
