From "The Analyst":

THE WAR COMES HOME TO RUSSIA

The stark realisation that Ukraine is reaching a level of strategic warfare capabilities beyond anything Russia has experienced since 1945, is coming home to roost.
Despite the threats of the nuclear age Cold War it never actually happened. Not at any time was Russia forced to defend its skies from missiles or bombers targeting its factories and military installations.
Now in 2024, the three day war to end Ukraine has gone so hideously wrong as it closes in on its 1000th.
Moscow authorities mounted a conference to discuss the air defence of military factories, power stations, airports and air fields around Moscow and St Petersburg. They examined civil defence preparedness and announced that open air meetings and displays by school children should be stopped indefinitely.
As Ukraine’s jet powered, rocket powered and propeller powered drones gain increasing range and lethality Moscow itself is waking up to the realisation it will be the target. Its air defences are far from perfect and they struggle to shoot down even single drones. They know, that sooner rather than later, Ukrainian drones and missiles are coming their way, as sure as the sun rises.
The one sided war where Russia used its missiles and Iranian designed drones to terrify Ukraine is now entering act two: whatever you can do to us, we can now do to you.
Ukraine will not hit shopping malls or schools or blow up maternity centres and hospitals. It will hit missile factories and design bureaus, electronics plants and fuel storage sites. It will find command bunkers and communications facilities. And it will make Russians realise that the special military operation has become the war they are too afraid to call it. And nobody will be in the least bit sympathetic to them. Putin dragged you into this. Now you have to live with the consequences.

Ukrainian Defense Forces down new russian reconnaissance drone

According to Militarnyi, a video of the downing was posted by Ukrainian volunteer and blogger Serhii Sternenko. The footage shows a Ukrainian FPV drone intercepting a new type of russian drone.

Upon closer inspection, the drone can be identified as a new development by the russian company ZALA Aero.

The first drones of the new ZALA Z-20 type were demonstrated to the public in 2023, and they are now being actively used by the enemy in the sky over Ukraine.

According to the manufacturer’s official information, the drone is capable of flying at a distance of over 100 km and staying in the air for over 6 hours in patrol mode. With a maximum weight of 18 kg, the drone is equipped with an HD camera, which allows for the detection and identification of targets over long distances. The drone can be used by the enemy to help Lancets in targeting.
