US announces reward of up to $10 million for information on Russian propagandists

The United States has announced a reward of up to $10 million for information about the Russian Rybar project.

The information was published on the website of the Rewards For Justice program of the US Department of State.

According to the US authorities, the Russian project tried to interfere in the US presidential election.

“The “Rybar” relies on connections and funding from Rostec to strengthen Russia’s military capabilities and promote pro-Russian and anti-Western ideological attitudes,” the report states.

According to the United States, Rybar operates the propaganda media channels HOLDTHELINE and STANDWTHTEXAS to promote the political interests of the Russian government in the United States.

Both projects are used by supporters of pro-Republican voting in the United States, and the first of them appeared in accounts with an audience of more than a million people.

Also, according to the US, Rybar created the TEXASvsUSA account on X to exploit the issue of illegal immigrants crossing the Texas border.

This account was suspended for violating the social network’s rules. Using this account, the US authorities believe that Rybar tried to “sow discord, promote social divisions, incite partisan and racial hatred, and call for hatred and violence in the United States.”

The Rewards for Justice program offers a reward for information leading to the location of Rybar project employees who “knowingly participated or are participating in interference in the U.S. election,” as well as for information that will prevent foreign interference in the election.

🤡lavrov said russia wants Ukraine outside NATO, with a "neutral" status, and without the West "using" Ukraine "to create direct threats to the russian Federation." (AKA no weapons for Ukraine.)

lavrov 🫏 is essentially saying that russia wants Ukraine to capitulate. Then, russia would definitely say that they defeated the West - because Ukrainian defeat would mean a complete crash of the post-1945 global order and security system. It would mean that the international institutions were unable to do their job. It would mean that russia would definitely move forward and start new wars (and not just russia) - because it's seen firsthand that it's working.

If russia is not defeated in Ukraine, it will continue becoming an even larger and more serious threat.

🤔 🇺🇸🇺🇦🇺🇳  The Biden administration has ceased to be fundamentally opposed to inviting Ukraine to NATO, — Le Monde

🟠 On Friday, US President Joe Biden met with the leaders of Germany, Great Britain and France. The main topic of conversation was Ukraine;
🟠 The partners did not reach a consensus on Zelenskyy's Victory plan and, most likely, will not find a common solution before the US elections;
🟠 In particular, there were disagreements on the point about permission for long-range strikes against the Russian Federation - the leaders agreed that this is not enough to radically change the situation on the front;
🟠 At the same time, the US and Germany no longer object to Ukraine joining NATO

If Kamala Harris wins the US elections, Biden will be able to begin working on inviting Ukraine to the Alliance

🟠 However, the four of them, the United Kingdom, Germany and France, will not be able to resolve this issue — this requires broader support from NATO members, and Turkey and Hungary will probably be against it.

The European Council said on Oct. 17 frozen Russian assets should "remain immobilized" until Moscow ends its full-scale war on Ukraine and makes reparations for damages caused to the country.

Estimates of the damage that Russian aggression over the past decade has caused to Ukrainian infrastructure have varied. The World Bank said in February 2024 it could be as high as $486 billion.

European countries hold roughly two-thirds of the $300 billion Russian sovereign assets immobilized after the outbreak of the full-scale war. While hesitant to confiscate the assets outright, the EU devised a plan to use windfall profits to fund Ukraine's reconstruction and defense needs.

💥A Russian major was killed by car bomb in occupied Luhansk, Ukraine's intelligence reports.

Russian Major Dmitriy Pervukha, allegedly involved in war crimes against Ukraine, was killed in the center of Russian-occupied Luhansk after his car exploded, Ukraine's military intelligence said on Oct. 19.

While HUR called Pervukha "a war criminal" and said that every crime against Ukraine would be "justly punished," it didn't claim responsibility for the attack.
